Stars & Stamps Sketch # 119

Another great sketch for a Sunday afternoon from Operation Write Home.
We went out of town last week and shopped at one of my favorite LSS's in Ontario, California, Wooten's Scrapbook Co. My hubby picked out lots of designer paper and paper pads as did I, along with a few yummy embellishments. Fun!!!

Stars & Stamps Sketch #118

Sometimes the patterned designer paper is enough. That is what I decided to use for this sketch.
The background DP is from the 'Once Upon a Springtime' collection by Graphic45. The other DP is from the 'These Days' paper pad collection by Kaisercraft. The decorative punch is ek success.

Catch the Bug Sketch Challenge

When I saw this sketch, I knew I would use one of my favorite Bugaboo digital stamps (again). I had just colored a few of these adorable chicks and rounded up matching paper so I was good to go! I managed to find some ribbon that matches and added a sentiment (The Stamps of Life). This card will be sent to Operation Write Home.

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

This is my brown and turquoise card for today's color challenge at the Stars & Stamps blog over at Operation Write Home.
The turquoise color is much lighter in person. I used a Martha Stewart punch, a Sizzix die for the embellishment (Flourish #11), and DP from the Renaissance Faire collection by Graphic45.

My 'Muscle Cards" are ready for sending and my
Father's Day cards are done for the year. Yay!

Stars & Stamps Sketch #117

This was a great sketch to use to create a card.
Here's mine. The light and dark brown paper is from Darice, plain green CS Bazzill, DP from my stash, image is a digi from Doodle Pantry, plain/scallop circle dies from Spellbinders.

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

When I saw this 12x12 sheet of old, wonderful automobiles by Graphic45, I knew what I would use for the ongoing OWH Muscle Challenge and today's challenge as well (Create a Father's Day card)!
This is my 3rd attempt. I started with black as the background. Way too dark. So I tried the brown. Much better!

CS: (browns) Darice
CS: (red) Bazzill

Sentiment: printed on white CS and chalked with Inkadinkado Soft Tones
Rectangle cuts: Spellbinders w/ Cuttlebug

Stars & Stamps Sketch # 116

The card is made from scraps on my (mile-high messy) desk which is exactly one-half of our kitchen table (the other half belongs to hubby)! It is a Muscle Card that will be good to go for this month's masculine challenge. The image of lizards or geckos is from the Graphic45 "Tropical Travelogue" design. Could these two be flirting??

"Thinking of You" Part 2

My first card was a little too busy so I turned the elephant pattern to the opposite side, used the aqua blue in the elephant's shirt for contrast, and made a CAS card. Hope you like it!

Stars & Stamps Midweek Challenge

This is my 4th try at a "Thinking of You" card for this week's challenge. I started with black layering under the DP, but it was way too dark. The deep red layers work much better even though this design is a little "busier" than usual. I do like the Graphic45 paper! The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life.

Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 22

This card turned out to be very spring-like and colorful! The precolored digi and sentiment is from Doodle Pantry, the DP from my stash, brown CS is by Bazzill, and the "Candi" (orange dots) by CraftWork Cards.

I am also entering this card into the Our Daily Bread Designs April challenge over at OWH Stars & Stamps. This challenge is to use an animal on a card. Love these birds :)

OWH Stars & Stamps Sketch # 115

This is my kind of sketch. I used lots of layering, dimensional adhesive to pop up the sentiment, and a simple image. I have also entered this card into the Catch the Bug Challenge (create an Easter/Spring card) at Bugaboo Stamps.

CS: Bazzill
DP: Susan Winget Mat Pad by K&Co.
Sentiment: The Stamps of Life
Digital Stamp: Bugaboo Stamps colored using pencils
